The advantages with a pole camera or Drone,

Impossible to comment on without a pole camera or drone photos

This is what you miss if you don't have a surveyor who has a pole camera or drone.
Most Surveyors don't comment on the areas they can not see from the ground, which in turn leaves you vulnerable, with comments leading to further investigation by a roofer and more cost.
With AK Surveying, these are standard with most Surveys.

Moisture issues and testing

We have different ways of testing moisture, from moisture meters, thermal imaging to speedy testing.

Some of the equipment not generally used by building surveyors unless they are also a moisture expert like myself

Damp, Condensation and Flooding

To effectively diagnose dampness and other moisture-related concerns, it is essential to have a comprehensive understanding of both the equipment being utilized and the construction characteristics of the property in question. A solid grasp of building construction, as well as the age of the property, is critical; without this knowledge, identifying damp issues may prove challenging, and any associated remedial measures, such as tanking, are likely to be ineffective. It is important to address the underlying causes of dampness before implementing any solutions.

I encourage you to reach out to me, as I am among a small salection of RICS surveyors with 25 years in moisture issues and flooding and impartial, and independent. I do not recommend specific companies or contractors; instead, I provide factual assessments of the issues at hand and options for resolution. The choice of contractor or builder remains yours to make.

When searching for a moisture surveyor or specialist, it is common to encounter damp proofing companies. Please be aware that many of these organizations may not be impartial and may have ulterior motives for promoting their surveys or offering them at no cost, they also don't have the correct equipment. It is advisable to exercise caution in your selection and conduct thorough research of your surveyor and the knowledge.
