SURVEYING YOU CAN TRUST
When considering the purchase of a property, ensuring that you make a sound investment is crucial. For this reason, we highly recommend commissioning a professional survey. Given that this may be the most significant financial decision you make in your lifetime, selecting an independent surveyor is essential for obtaining a high-quality assessment with a turnaround of five to seven days, not a 24-hour generated document. Our surveys are not only informative, but also deliver excellent value for money compared with the standard cheaper options offered on comparison websites and I only do two surveys a week, not a day, so you are guaranteed a thorough survey with no distractions or time limits.
Pause for thought of what you are getting in your survey!
What does the surveyor have for equipment?
- May lead to incomplete inspections if the surveyor lacks specialized equipment, resulting in additional costs for further investigations.
- Relying solely on basic equipment like a single moisture meter may overlook other issues, reducing the survey’s comprehensiveness.
- Lack of a pole camera or similar tools can prevent inspection of hard-to-see areas such as roofs and chimneys, compromising the accuracy of the survey.
- Missing critical areas during the initial survey can necessitate a second inspection, increasing time and expense.
- Overlooking inspection tools or techniques might lead to an underestimation of potential issues, affecting decision-making.
- Overemphasis on qualifications without considering actual equipment or inspection capabilities may result in inadequate assessments.
These are things that are generally not discussed when choosing a surveyor, also make sure the surveyor allocated doing the survey and qualified.
I provide comprehensive and meticulous surveys that include a minimum of 50 photographs in my building surveys, to clearly document any identified issues. Additionally, I take the initiative to inspect all accessible windows and doors, as well as roof surfaces, drain chambers and loft spaces, to ensure a thorough evaluation. Our standard practice involves the use of specialised equipment, some not normally used in general surveys, such as pole cameras or drone, thermal imaging technology, Borescope cameras (this is not an inclusive list), and we are dedicated to presenting clear and concise information, avoiding technical jargon.
We have the necessary equipment to conduct comprehensive damp analysis and moisture migration assessments with remediation and repairs in our reports, available upon request. This is a specialised area that may require permission from the vendor in certain circumstances. This does involve extra costs if included in a building survey but well worth it is it is an older property or one in need of renovation.
My surveys are conducted based on the property's features, condition and your specific requirements, rather than the property's cost, as it is not feasible to provide a quote without doing a desk top study first of the property you intend to survey. You pay for what you get.
Our terms and conditions will be provided electronically. Before the survey, we will address any concerns you may have regarding the property and incorporate them into the final report. We will manage all communications with the estate agent or vendor
